I purchased this 2014 Honda N-BOX+ Custom G Turbo A package for personal use at auction (HAA Kansai) on 2/16/2025. Arrived at my garage on 2/26/2025.
Let’s take a look at the auction sheet/auction photos vs the actual vehicle.

Around 90,000km, grade 3.5 (D,D).
Auction sheet translated as:
AT, AC, headlights cloudy, spare tire less, steering wheel worn, seat dirty, interior scratches, seat worn, ceiling liner scratches, paint faded, interior dirty, touch up paint, mirrors scratched, small chips in windshield, other dents/scratches/surface rust, tail lens cracked

I was worried about the B3 on the right rear fender area and the X2 on the rear bumper as well as the S1 marks on the hood area. Here are the rest of the auction pictures.

Let’s take a look at what was on the sheet compared with what came in.
Headlights cloudy:

Kind of hard to tell, but yeah, the headlights are cloudy. These are plastic so they should be able to be polished out. It looks like there’s some “stuff” on the inside too. Not sure if that will be accessible.
Steering wheel worn:

Yeah, a little worn, but better than expected for 90,000km. It should clean up well.
Seat worn/dirty:

These weren’t too bad either. Worn can go anywhere from around what you see in the photos above to almost tearing so it’s a pretty wide range. Typically the door side of the drivers seat is the first to wear/sink.
Ceiling liner scratches:

Maybe I’m too used to my ceiling liners having scratches. I didn’t see anything major. The spot in the photo above is a little dirty but should hopefully clean out.
Small chips in windshield:

Some people really worry about “small chips” but they’re typically small, like the ones above. Any car that’s ever been driven on the freeway will have “small chips”. Of course we’ve seen some cases of small chips being a few mm’s. Things that are larger than a few mm’s are usually denoted as “cracks”.
Let’s get to where I was worried about!
S1 on the hood area:

To be honest, it’s just the wipers. There was some very very slight surface rust in the engine bay/underside of the hood but nothing of concern. The other wiper is in a little better shape. Fortunately for me, I’m over here so I can just grab a new(used) set on yahoo auctions or some other site. If I wasn’t, I would probably just bead blast these down and hit them with primer/flat black to bring them back.
Scratches/dents/touch up paint:

About what you’d expect from a 3.5 DD
Tail lens cracked:

It’s a small chip on the bottom of the lens smaller than a fingernail. It’s not in a location I’m worried about so I’ll leave it as is.
Right rear fender B3:

This one’s pretty scratched up, but it’s not very deep. I’m hoping at least some of it buffs out but it may need to be repainted if I want it to look really good. Dents are only denoted by size so sometimes even small dents can be deep.
X2 on left rear bumper area:

This one actually came as a surprise to me. I didn’t think it was partially detached and it was hard to catch in the poor quality auction photo. I haven’t taken a deep look but hopefully it can just be bolted back on. I can probably find a replacement somewhere also if I looked.
All in all, about what you’d expect from a 3.5. in each aspect, sometimes the condition can be better, sometimes worse. I would expect a grade 4 not to have the bumper issue and the body overall would likely be in better shape (less scratches dents). The interior on this one looks pretty good for a 11 year old car and should be good to drive once everything is serviced.
